About

My name is Angela. I’m a graphic designer, marketing specialist and visual artist based in Port Moody, BC.

I have worked in design since 2016, with particular experience in print, publishing and brand communications. Since joining Mitchell Press in 2019, I have designed across books, editorial pieces, marketing campaigns, digital content and printed collateral. In 2023, my role expanded more directly into marketing, bringing together design, content and strategy.

I also design books for independent authors through The Self Publishing Agency. I enjoy translating a manuscript and an author’s vision into a visual system that feels thoughtful, readable and true to the story.

My approach is grounded in curiosity, empathy and attention. I am drawn to work that carries meaning, respects its audience and benefits from genuine collaboration. I value the conversations, research and experimentation that lead to strong work.

I studied graphic design at BCIT and hold a BFA from Emily Carr University. I stay connected to the local creative community through CreativeMornings Vancouver, DesCan and RGD events, and previously served as Volunteer Chair on the DesCan executive board.

Outside of professional work, I continue my own art practice through sculpture, ceramics and painting. Maintaining a personal practice keeps me curious and reminds me that making is also a way of thinking and understanding the world around us.

I am currently interested in opportunities where design, storytelling and marketing intersect, while continuing to collaborate with authors and organizations on selected creative projects.
